How to Volunteer

The Huntington Beach Community Garden is operated by volunteers. Each garden member pledges to volunteer a minimum of 4 hours a year to maintain and upkeep our community space.

Please remember, we invite you to get involved and yes, we need your help!

There are many ways to support!

Harvest Brigade – Dedicated to ensuring the garden’s donated bounty reaches vital agencies that look forward to and depend on our delicious food donations. Volunteers coordinate and deliver harvest donations from the community garden to Bracken’s Kitchen typically throughout June, July, and August.

Community Work Parties - Every last Saturday of the month garden members come together to beautiful and improve the community spaces around the garden like weeding along the exterior fence line and in the demonstration gardens.

Board Service – In order to maintain the non-profit organization of the community garden, members of the garden can join the board of directors which meet bi-monthly to manage the garden’s operation.
